FLY FISH LIKE A PRO: VOLUME 1 2,750円

30 anglers, 1 passion. With 5 unique Canadian destinations, ranging from British Columbia痴 Rocky Mountains to Gaspe痴 gin clear waters, follow the Fly Max crew on their quest to catch a wide variety of species, including Canada痴 largest cutthroat trout, prehistoric gar, huge Northern pike, coveted Atlantic salmon & much more. DVD 110 min.

It all began in the Winter of 2006. A concept to capture the essence of WHY we fly fish. Many of today's fly fishing shows tend to focus more on how, when & where to fish; not us! Our mission was to connect with existing fly fishers at the core, & attract the attention of those whom never seen fly fishing in this way. You won't find much in terms of unnecessary dialogue in our films. We much rather prefer to queue the music & let the visuals do the talking. Fly fishing is one of the &%$*in' coolest & most exciting adventure sports out there, & we're dedicated to spreading that message!

Back then we didn't know a thing about filmmaking, but our passion lunged us to purchase 4 state of the art HD cameras & head out in search of money footage, from all corners of Canada. 21 months later later, Fly Max Films - Pure Fly Fishing Excitement Volume 1 is a finally a reality! A collection of 5 short films, with a running time of around 2 hours, showcasing some of Canada's best anglers in jaw-dropping destinations. Simply put every member of the Fly Max Films team does what they do because they love it!

We sincerely hope that this obsession comes through in our first production. Where we lacked in filmmaking experience we made up for in raw passion. You will find a brief overview of each of the 5 productions found on our first DVD below. Please note that the trailers provided on the website are not necessarily within context of the video. Instead of spending time making trailers, we're focusing on the final productions! We sincerely hope you enjoy Volume 1 & hope that you'll check out our future productions which promise to be even bigger & better!

Exploring the BC Outback
The film that started it all! Join Fly Max'ers Paul Langford, April Vokey, Paul Marier, Patches D. & Nick Pujic as they explore rivers in the sky in British Columbia's sunshine coast with Powell River Outback Adventures. The group visits remote glacial rivers by helicopter & 4x4 in search of rainbows, bulls, dollies & the World's biggest coastal cutthroat trout!

Esnagami Lake
Think fly fishing is done for just trout? Think again! Mike Verhoef, Rob Daciw, Paul Langford & Nick Pujic take on Northern Ontario's Esnagami Lake in a quest to prove that fly fishing can be equally deadly for giant northern pike & drag-busting walleye. The crew also takes a stab at bruiser brook trout in the Esnagami River, a tributary to the famed Albany River system.

Gaspe's Atlantic Salmon
What fly fishing film would be complete without some good ol' Atlantic salmon action? Certainly not ours! Pete Addison, Bob McKenzie, Marcel Saring, Karen Guimond & Thibaut Millet visit some of the Gaspe's most highly regarded, gin-clear Atlantic salmon rivers on a quest to do battle with the king of all sport fish!

Gar on the Fly!
That's right, gar on the fly! As in the tail-walking, teeth lined, prehistoric fish that seem to react to a fly better than any other angling method. This time, over a dozen Fly Max'ers visit the flats of the Bay of Quinte gunnin' for the Canadian record gar - on a fly rod! From wading the flats to zoomin' around in bass boats, the hunt is on! See why gar are one of the most under-estimated target species for fly fishers, & why we want to change that.

Fraser Salmon & Sturgeon
5 species of Pacific salmon in a single river? You bet! The Fly Max crew hooks up with Chris Ciesla of Bluewater Rockies Sportfish Guiding Company for a jet boat adventure through the West's Fraser, Harrison & Chehalis Rivers. Beside putting a serious beating on chum, sockeye & coho salmon, the crew also took a break to mess with the biggest freshwater fish in the World - the white sturgeon. Ok, ok, so it's not fly fishing but catching any fish bigger than you appeals to any fisherman, regardless of their weapon of choice.
